In chapters 5, 6 and 7 the evil of the pearl slowly takes over kino, Now kino has no boat due to the hole his house is burnt down and the trackers are after him and the pearl. So Kino’s decision is to flee to the city, but the trackers nearly chatch them before they go to the mountains, but the trackers are to close so kino must kill the watcher and steal the rifel. ut in the struggle kio accidently shoots his son. Disgraced kino and juana return to the village and toss the pearl in the ocean. Question 1. Kino had to pay the life of his son because of the greed inflicted by the pearl. Also he lost his home, and he had to undergo atcks for the pearl.
