  1. “for I had something of the feeling about baltimore that is expressed in the proverb, that being hanged in england is preferable to dying a natural death in Ireland”           Page 44    Reason: I chose this because he is relating this proverb to Baltimore versus the plantation.
  2. “It may be deemed superstitious, and even egotistical, in regarding this event as a special interposition of devine providence in my favor” Page 46   Reason: I chose this passage because it explainsthe superstitious or too good ton be true feeling Frederick got about Baltimore.
